In this lesson you will learn how to use the component selection tool. The GPA data bank and the Dortmund data bank software tools were used to develop this software. This provides years of experience and knowhow for quick, convenient and reliable access of the GPA data bank. Click on the add search component button, which brings up the component selection window. Available components are shows with their appropriate information for GPA components only. Type in desired component and it will search the data bank and synonyms can be removed to show a condensed list format. Once a desired component is seen, double click to place it within a components selection grid.

To show all components or all systems measured by GPA containing methane, click the system as sub system button to retrieve this data from the GPA data bank. The program will automatically select all data sets that were measured, highlighting the first set and graphing it for you for convenient review and analysis. The search is done through the entire Dortmund data bank of over twenty thousand components. The graph is automatically displayed without any further action. The graph data provides many display options picture shown in the tabs available at the top of the graph. Three dimensional graphing is also available by clicking of the three dimensional rotate mode which will allow visualization from any three dimensional perspective.
