Engineer's Aide SiNET™ & CHEMPRO™
The Leader in Process Engineering Software™ Engineer’s Aide SiNET™ provides sizing and network analysis of fluid flow systems to simulate various operating conditions. Quickly size, design and cost process equipment including pumps, fans, compressors, heat exchangers, flowmeters, control valves, pressure vessels, and storage tanks and then simulate equipment operations in a patented graphical user interface. As the leader in fluid flow simulation for the chemical and petroleum industries, Engineer’s Aide software provides un-matched efficiency of data input and system analysis for liquid, gas and 2-phase pipe systems. Included with SiNET is the AIChE DIPPR® Database with nearly 2000 components. Challenging applications are no problem for SiNET including high pressure, super-critical systems such as high pressure ethylene distribution systems as well as non-Newtonian fluid flow analysis. Discover how you can effectively find root-cause fluid flow problems in process and utility distribution system in your chemical or refinery facility that would not be possible with other software tools. If you’re limited for time to analyze a plant-wide utility distribution system (such as cooling water, steam, fuel gas, etc.), EPCON can quickly and accurately provide you with an optimized model of the system to pin-point the problems through our cost-effective Engineering Services.
Engineer’s Aide CHEMPRO™ excels where others fail including 3-phase flash calculations for challenging aqueous-hydrocarbon systems. Engineer’s Aide CHEMPRO combines fluid flow and process simulation and handles both normal and upset conditions. Based on industry standard API thermodynamics and methods, Engineer’s Aide CHEMPRO simulates liquid, gas, and multi-phase piping systems and compressor performance. Included are all of the features of SiNET with links to the API Technical Data Book, the API Spec Database, SYSTEM 7 Process Explorer, and DDBSP. Engineer’s Aide CHEMPRO also provides process safety solutions with the Pressure Releif Valve Analysis and the Flare Header Backpressure Analysis programs, as well. Engineer’s Aide™ provides process data compatibility with industry standard API Technical Data Book thermodynamics and API Specification Database equipment data sheets. Maximize your engineering efficiency with the latest industry standards using Engineer’s Aide. Try-out Engineer’s Aide SiNET & CHEMPRO today with a 30-day trial you can download from our web site at www.epcon.com. (DIPPR is a registered trademark of AIChE) Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) Analysis: Using industry standard API and DIERS methods, this streamlines the analysis of pressure relief valves for all important scenarios for various single component failures and plant wide emergencies. It’s comprehensive and rigorous analysis of single and multi-phase pressure drops of the inlet and outlet piping for each pressure relief valve is based on the thermodynamics and flash of the API Tech Data Book. The PRV Analysis program lets the user input equipment data, stream properties, design conditions and project specific factors. Each relieving case may be considered to determine the largest orifice size necessary for pressure protection. Detailed calculations to determine the relieving flow rate & phase condition are provided for Fire, Inadvertent Valve Operation and Ruptured Tube cases. All other cases can be run by specifying flow rate and phase condition or from the phase condition determined by the integrated, rigorous 3-phase flash engine. Once the PRV calculation is completed (“Issued”), the PRV calculation is documented for future reference and relevant data from the calculation is used to automatically create a data sheet. The program allows the user to input fields which are not automatically generated. Once the data sheet is issued, the program will send the data sheet, or groups of data sheets, to a specified directory.
