Our Mission
For over 20 years, EPCON
International has been developing engineering software programs to aide
engineers in the the design, analysis and troubleshooting of processing
systems. Engineer's Aide Toolbox is an easily justified, powerful,
and practical engineering software - carrying on the tradition of
Engineer's Aide software initially released in 1985 as the first
integrated process engineering software suite for efficient use on desktop
computers. Engineer's Aide SINET combines patented pipeline network
analysis software
with accurate AIChE DIPPR®
physical property data for the analysis
of process piping and equipment in liquid, gas, and multi-phase
systems. Engineer's Aide CHEMPRO adds a rigorous 3-phase flash
engine and basic flowsheeting capabilities to all the features in SiNET.
CHEMPRO PRV adds pressure relief valve
analysis and flare header analysis to all the features of Engineer's
Aide CHEMPRO. SYSTEM 7 Process Explorer provides process
simulation with
intelligent thermodynamics for use by any chemical engineer.

EPCON has made significant investments to link with industry standard
physical property and equipment specification databases. The API
Tech Data Book, 8th Edition provides 130+ property
estimation methods developed by API over the past 40 years - critically
reviewed and approved by the API Tech Data Committee. The Dortmund
Data Bank is included in SYSTEM 7 and available separately to provide
you with the largest computerized data bank
for thermodynamic pure component and mixture properties worldwide.
The API
Specification Database™ provides XML based equipment
data sheet to manage project data through the plant lifecycle using API standard
equipment data sheets.
Important milestones for
EPCON International over the past 20 years include the first integrated
suite of process engineering software (1985), the first Windows pipeline
sizing software (1991), the first Windows physical property data interface (patented in
1993), the first graphic input and display of pipeline network systems
(patented in 1994), and the first comprehensive, interactive computer application
of
the API Technical Data Book (2005). EPCON has received a number
of independently judged awards from Chemical Processing and Plant
Engineering magazines in 2001, 1999, 1997, 1992, and 1990.
